DESCRIPTION
The SD8 Dominator 800 Hammer Used is a general purpose hammer suitable for a wide range of air pressures. A low to mid range air volume hammer with a one piece top adaptor. The SD8 Dominator 800 Hammer Used has a unique air distributor finger which is integral with the top adapter and reduces requirements for shimming.
One piece top adapter reduces internal parts as no make up is required. External N.R.V (Non-Return-Valve) for easy maintenance. Revised chamber volumes and cycle timing to optimize performance. Simplified piston geometry for improved balance and location within cylinder. Heavy duty cylinder for extended hammer life.

Founded in 1948 by S.Marshalls and Sons at Southowram, Halifax to manufacture tungsten carbide and masons tools. In 1951, Halco Rock Tools and Stenuick of Belgium developed the first DTH hammer with an operating air pressure of 100 psi. During the 1950s Halco introduced DTH drill rigs and the first ever DTH blast-hole was successfully completed using Halco equipment at Hill House Quarry in Troon, Scotland.
In 1964 S.Marshalls & Sons formed the Marshalls Halifax Plc. Halco went through a period of growth in the 1960s with DTH rolling out to South Africa and India with Halifax Tool Company (South Africa) and Killick Halco India. Notably, during the decade Halco were supplying and servicing over 700 Drill Rigs for International Aid Agencies, who were supporting the Indian water well and quarrying market, including the famous Tiger 1 and 3 drill rigs.
