DESCRIPTION
The SD10 Dominator 1000 Hammer Used incorporates a unique piston design for high performance and reliability especially in Waterwell applications. ThE SD10 Dominator 1000 Hammer Used is suitable for a wide range of air pressures.  Though its optimum performance is reached at air pressures of 200psi (14 bar) and above. It has been designed with the heaviest piston in its class, (weighing in at 87.6Kg) to provide excellence performance. To assist with maintenance, it has a captive bit ring and a reversible cylinder thus prolonging its life and ultimately reducing costs.
It is compatible with the Halco Bit Catcher System.
FEATURES
- One piece top adaptor reduces internal parts as no make up is required. External N.R.V (Non-Return-Valve) for easy maintenance.
- Revised chamber volumes and cycle timing to optimize performance.
- Simplified piston geometry for improved balance and location within cylinder.
- Live air bleed piston to adjust volume.
- Reversible cylinder.
- The SD10 shank reduces contact stresses and wear rates.
- Halco Rock Tools builds the BEST 10 inch Down the Hole Hammer, Hands Down! This hammer runs an SD10 shank which is still widely accepted as the world standard for 10 inch class drill bits.
ABOUT HALCO ROCK TOOLS
From Halco’s Website:
Halco designs and manufactures to exacting standards, Halco DTH hammers deliver outstanding performance, productivity and longevity.
Customers also enjoy the versatility and variety, allowing the use of Halco DTH hammers on a wide range of rock-drilling applications. Our drill bits have superb performance and long life which make Halco DTH drill bits a world leader.Â
Founded in 1948 by S.Marshalls and Sons at Southowram, Halifax to manufacture tungsten carbide and masons tools. In 1951, Halco Rock Tools and Stenuick of Belgium developed the first DTH hammer with an operating air pressure of 100 psi. During the 1950s Halco introduced DTH drill rigs and the first ever DTH blast-hole was successfully completed using Halco equipment at Hill House Quarry in Troon, Scotland.
In 1964 S.Marshalls & Sons formed the Marshalls Halifax Plc. Halco went through a period of growth in the 1960s with DTH rolling out to South Africa and India with Halifax Tool Company (South Africa) and Killick Halco India. Notably, during the decade Halco were supplying and servicing over 700 Drill Rigs for International Aid Agencies, who were supporting the Indian water well and quarrying market, including the famous Tiger 1 and 3 drill rigs.
