DESCRIPTION
The 2004 Gefco 30K Deep Hole drilling rig is a highly capable and well-maintained unit, mounted on a rugged 357 Peterbilt with a quad axle and locker rear drive, offering exceptional stability and mobility for demanding drilling operations. Powered by a new CAT engine, the 2004 Gefco 30K Deep Hole is equipped with a high-pressure mud pump and a 1050 x 350 Sullair air compressor, which was fully rebuilt in 2022, ensuring reliable performance in the field.
Designed for deep hole drilling, the rig features a top head drive with a winch line specifically for handling drill pipe, as well as an auxiliary winch for bailing operations. The inclusion of an injection pump, along with a catwalk, stands, a carousel pipe rack, and a single rod loader, makes this rig a versatile and efficient tool for a variety of drilling tasks. It is set up to handle 600 feet of 4.5” x 25’ drill stem on board, with an additional 30’ capacity off the trailer, maximizing its drilling depth capabilities.
Significant maintenance has been performed to ensure the rig’s optimal operation, including the installation of a new motor in September 2020. Over the past three years, every hydraulic pump has been replaced, the master cylinder has been rebuilt, and in 2023, the hydraulic tank was flushed with all filters replaced. These updates contribute to the rig’s reliability and extend its service life, making it a sound investment for any drilling operation.
