The diesel engine ensures optimal power output for demanding trenching tasks and extended operation periods.
With high reliability and low maintenance, this totally hydrostatic 70-hp-class trencher is built for big jobs on tough terrain. For big trenching or vibratory plowing jobs, the 1997 Ditch Witch 7020 H710 Trencher provides advanced hydrostatic reliability and productive power that won’t fade when the going gets tough.
High ground clearance, four-wheel drive, independent rear-wheel steering and an optional tilt frame provide maneuverability for accessing and working on challenging terrain.
Like all Ditch Witch Modularmatic tractors, the 1997 Ditch Witch 7020 H710 Trencher accepts several interchangable trenching and plowing attachments for multi-function versatility.
The Model 7020 is powered by a compact liquid-coled John Deere turbocharged diesel engine, which provides 70 net horsepower (52kw) for high production. The ground drive, attachment and auxiliary hydraulic pumps mount directly to the engine for more efficient use of power.
For quick, easy service, all daily engine check points are on one side. Daily maintenance is minimal, because the 7020 is an all-hydrostatic machine.
A Comfortable Operator’s Station Puts You In Full Control
Ditch Witch tractors have a reputation of being user-friendly, and the Model 7020 is no exception. The operator’s station is isolated from vibration, and its seat swivels 90 degrees for a comfortable view while working. Controls are color-coded for better recognition. A single lever operates the raise, lower, float and angle functions of the backfill blade. Trenching speed is adjusted with a hand lever on the seat console. Rear wheel steering is controlled with two rocker switches, and rear steer returns to center at the push of a button.
Model H710 Centerline Trencher
The Model H710 is designed for reliable, low maintenance production in most applications. The versatile boom design permits changing boom styles– from small tail sprockets to large tail rollers, for example– without replacing the entire boom.
