This is a rugged 1978 T64 Schramm Drilling Rig mounted on a 1978 GMC truck. While both the truck and drill engine are Detroit (6V53 NA for truck, 8V71 NA for drill), the truck boasts a robust 10-speed transmission. The 1978 T64 Schramm Drilling Rig packs a punch with a powerful 600 CFM/350 PSI Leroi Twin Screw Compressor and is even equipped for mud drilling. Though it’s a reliable workhorse with a proven track record (drilling past 1,000 ft!), it currently needs some attention: the rotation gearbox’s pinion gear sockets require remachining. Overall, this vintage rig offers potential for those seeking a powerful and experienced drilling setup with some TLC needed.
