DESCRIPTION
The 8″ QL80 Hammer by Rock Hog Drilling Products has a maximum operating pressure of 500 psi and requires 900 cfm. The 8″ QL80 Hammer makes a 7-7/8″ – 10″ hold and weighs 414 lbs. Rock Hog’s new line of High Performance “HP” DTH hammers were introduced in early 2010. They have been field tested in a variety of drilling applications around the world and have continually proven to be the industry leader.

Rock Hog Drilling Products is a third generation family owned and operated company. Rock Hog specializes in the design and manufacturing of DTH (down the hole) hammers and DTH bits for percussion drilling needs of the mining, quarry, water well, oil, gas and construction industries. Rock Hog has been manufacturing DTH hammers and bits since 1990 and has over 30 years of experience in the rock drilling industry.
With a 40,000 square foot manufacturing facility located in south central Pennsylvania, Rock Hog enjoys the best of both worlds. While we are located in a rural farmland community where the work ethic of our people adds to our capability and value, we are also close to major commerce and interstate arteries I-70, I-76, and I-81. We are located off Route 16 between Interstate 81 and the Pennsylvania turnpike. Our facility is easily accessible and we welcome our customers to visit.
Our entire facility is temperature controlled and our shipping and recieving area accomodates both dock and tailgate loading and unloading. Adjacent to the current facility is an additional 9 acres of land owned by the company for potential growth.
