The DR24HD is the ideal choice for deep, large-diameter projects, including municipal and industrial water wells, foundation piling, and hydraulic elevator shaft holes. Its design eliminates the need for chains, sheaves, or sprockets in the feed system, significantly reducing maintenance requirements. The 2025 Foremost DR24HD is in brand new condition with full warranty coverage from April 2026 to March 2027. Foremost DR rigs are known for holding their value exceptionally well due to high demand and scarce used inventory.
Key Features and Performance
- Dual Rotary Technology: Features a unique lower rotary drive that advances steel casing through unconsolidated overburden like sand, gravel, glacial till, and boulders.
- Enhanced Torque: The DR24HD’s heavy-duty gear-driven lower drive generates two and a half times the torque of the standard DR-24 model, reaching up to 2,500,000 in-lbs.
- Superior Pullback: Equipped with a heavy-duty mast and larger hoist cylinders, it offers an increased pullback capacity of 118,000 lbs for the lower drive and 80,000 lbs for the top drive.
- Versatile Drilling: Supports various methods including mud, air, reverse circulation, and flooded reverse circulation. It can use conventional tools such as down-the-hole hammers, roller cones, or drag bits.
- Precision and Quality: The lower drive’s casing rotation results in exceptionally straight holes, minimizing stress on casing welds and simplifying the installation of screens and pumps.
